This Thursday, Barboza will host psych electronic trio Young Magic who are based out of Brooklyn. Their debut album, Melt, came out in February of this year and packs the band’s many influences into a combination of eleven intriguing songs. With inspirations from West African rhythms, hip-hop, UK bass, and 60s psychedelic soul, Young Magic truly bring something original to the table with this debut.  Recordings from 10 different countries are featured along the album, so live, they are sure to give you a taste of their musical journey.

Co-headlining at Barboza with Young Magic is the multi-layered Quilt, hailing from Boston, whose chillwave and visuals extend past any genre. The mystical longing between the notes of their song “Cowboys in the Void” from their self titled album released last November highlights their bold reverb and psych pop vocal harmonization.
