Hot on the heels of Seattle’s most prominent electronic music festival, one of the West Coast’s most well known house producer/DJs is hitting up Emerald City with a deep, dark, and dance-worthy set. Miguel Migs (a.k.a. Petalpusher, if you want to go way back) has been mixing and producing deep, chill-out house tracks for more than a decade, stretching and redefining the genre year after year. Joining him are fellow San Francisco Club Mighty resident Julius Papp and Blue Eyed Soul.
Just a few weeks after releasing his new album, Outside the Skyline, Miguel Migs has proven the heavy rotation readiness of the hit EP “Everybody” featuring Billboard diva Evelyn “Champagne” King. Several remixes currently grace YouTube, including solid tracks by Soul Clap, Hardsoul,Vernon & Dacosta, and Kid Who.
Equally talented at mixing and creating tracks, Miguel Migs modestly lays down a variety of moving beats from a range of talented producers, but we might get lucky and hear some interesting takes on his own work, too. For a taste of what may be in store this trip, check out clips from Outside the Skyline.
This visit from Miguel Migs is sure to be a treat for all the househeads in town, and he would no doubt be thrilled by the support and appreciation of his neighbors to the north. Clap your hands, pump your fists, stomp, scream, and cheer, but whatever you do, make certain of this: there shall be absolutely NO dancing.
If anyone needs me this weekend, I’ll be in jail.
