The explosive new Hot Creations label may have been founded in London, but its artists and their tracks exude the classy laid-back vibe of the Miami club scene. The Hot Creations Decibel Festival showcase at the Experience Music Project museum in Seattle Center highlights just a few of these international musicians of mystery.
Patrick Topping headlines the showcase with a DJ set featuring deep, dark house beats. His latest track, “Forget,” is #1 on the Beatport Tech House chart. Based in Newcastle, Patrick Topping has impressed audiences worldwide while on tour in Ibiza and at Paradise.
Get there early to catch a live set from Shadow Child. This London-based DJ and producer loves the darkness and this murky fascination is evident in his mixes. Featured on BBC Radio’s Essential Mix, Shadow Child revealed his repertoire of tracks ranging from nostalgic 90s club tracks to razor-sharp electro house.
Opening up the showcase are Chicago native DJ and producer Lee Foss and vocalist Anabel Englund. Co-owner of the Hot Creations label, Lee Foss’s futuristic sounds have been positively received by the dance community, including accolades from Art Department and XLR8R. Since he’s been darting back and forth between London and LA, his sound takes on a velvet-rope club vibe with serious polish. The tracks he produces let his roots in classic house music come through while sitting at the cutting edge of futuristic beats.
