Late last week, local singer/songwriter Kris Orlowski‘s tour van was broken into and many pieces of equipment, instruments and even some clothing was stolen. It is not only terrible that he was stolen from, but when equipment that a musician is using to create art and to pursue his or her passion is taken from them, it is extremely disheartening.

To give everyone another heads up of what was stolen:

  • Yamaha Motif ES8 Keyboard
  • Vintage Fender Concert Guitar Amplifier
  • Strymon Brigadier delay pedal
  • TC Electronix Flashback pedal
  • ToneBone PZ Pre pedal
  • Boss Tuner
  • Tube Screamer
  • Yamaha Gig Bag
  • One of the coats was a tan puffy coat

Besides continually being on the lookout on eBay, Craigslist and local pawn shops for their gear, there is another way you can help. Monday, April 29, Tractor Tavern will be hosting the “WE WERE ROBBED Fundraiser” for Kris and his band. Not only is this an amazing opportunity to help out a local musician in need, but the lineup is delicious: Allen Stone, John Roderick of The Long Winters, Daniel Blue of Motopony, Meagan Grandall of Lemolo, Mike & Matt Gervais of Curtains For You, Wayfarer, Jacob James of SHiPS, Shelby Earl, and Ryan Devlin of Smokey Brights.

Tickets are $10 advance and are available here. We highly recommend buying tickets as soon as possible, as this show will likely sell out.

For those who can not attend the show there is also the option of donating securely online via Paypal to help the cause.
