We Were Promised Jetpacks brings a new tilt to the indie rock scene with their newest download,  ”Act on Impulse,”off their forthcoming LP, In the Pit of the Stomach. Steady rhythm starts the song and works its way through the listeners body begging it to dance. The sound has an eclectic feel with tones that bring Ra-Ra-Riot, Grace Potter, the Nocturnals, and Arcade Fire to mind. This music is very invigoratingly smooth, music to throw your sporting gear on and hit the great outdoors.

Signed to FatCat Records, We Were Promised Jetpacks celebrates having won a Battle of the Bands competition in 2003. Now, less than a decade old, they can add their 2nd CD to their resume full of hit singles and placements on soundtracks. Scintilatingly brazen lyrics and thoughtful sounds bring your heart rate up and down like a sunrise and set.
