The Shins have released a video for “The Rifle’s Spiral” off their latest album, Port of Morrow.
The Jamie Caliri directed, stop-motion video for “The Rifle’s Spiral” exhibits the darker world that surrounds the latest Shins record.
With three sinister conjurers, a magical rabbit in desperate need of liberation and a good-willed magician traversing a lonely desert; the Emmy Award winning director Caliri has created a morose, yet beautiful video.
So turn down the lights, light the candelabra and settle into the delicately dejected world of the Shins; where “The Rifle’s Spiral” is never ending, and three wise men didn’t bring gifts, they captured rabbits.
