Watch: Pinback — “Sherman”

Pinback have released a music video out for single “Sherman”. The song hails from their brand new LP Information Retrieved.
The footage combines epic scenes from three ’60s space-age films which became increasingly cheesy. The first, 1962′s Soviet Russia-made Planeta Bur was quickly co-opted and parodied by American filmmakers Roger Corman and Peter Bogdanovich. Their pair of silly cinema pieces Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet and Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women are interspersed throughout while “Sherman” hums along.
Information Retrieved is the rock duo’s first proper full-length in five years; they are planning to tour the U.S. later this year to support its release. Check out Pinbacks’ little-big cinematic journey over at Wired.
