There are many leading ladies of soul. Andreya Triana is looking to add her name next to women like India.Arie and Goapele. For those of you who haven’t heard of Andreya Triana, there is a larger chance you’ve heard of Bonobo. Andreya Triana was the soulful lure on a few songs of Bonobo‘s on his March 23rd release Black Sands, and now he has stepped up to produce Triana’s debut album, Lost Where I Belong, scheduled to release on September 27, 2010 on Ninja Tune.

Please enjoy the Flying Lotus remix of Triana’s title track “Lost Where I Belong.” There are signature traces of Flying Lotus flowing through this song from the ethereal, staccato picked strings to the pulsing beats. Traina’s voice, panned left to right, wisps through the listeners ear like sultry wind. Yes. One could fall deep into this song and get lost for days. It’s cerebral. It’s hot. Andreya Triana is underrated right now, but I don’t think she will be for long. Know about her.
