Janka Nabay has released a song called “Nar London” that is Sierra Leone’s new anthem for the 2012 Olympic Games. He teamed with up fellow Sierra Leonean Bajah to craft the track.

In this year’s Olympics, Ola Sesay is the only individual from Sierra Leone competing. The song definitely galvanizes enthusiasm though; it is fast-paced and relentless in its rhythm. Thoroughly danceable and overflowing with positive vibes, “Nar London” goes well with the video: footage of Sesay training for the Games is inter-spliced with scenes from recent concert performances of Nabay.

Janka Nabay is a leading voice for Bubu Music in Sierra Leone, the United States and across the world. Traditionally, the songs incorporate different sizes of bamboo pipes; he has fused them with electric instruments and electronic experimentation to define his sound in the group Janka Nabay and The Bubu Gang. Their debut album En Yay Sah is due to come out on August 7 on David Byrne‘s label Luaka Bop.

Watch the video below and see how your bones want to instinctively bop about and dance.
