Watch: Cults and Cold War Kids Get Down with Leonard Cohen

Timothy Grisham / February 2, 2012

A few days after Leonard Cohen dropped his new album a couple of young bands, Cults and Cold War Kids, are paying tribute to the poet turned crooner.

The covers were performed for Old Ideas with New Friends, a project orchestrated by Cohen’s longtime label, Columbia Records, to “celebrate Leonard Cohen’s legendary 40 years in music” — as well as build buzz around his recently released, Old Times.

More covers are to follow, Pretty Much Amazing is reporting that artists like Deerhunter, A.C. Newman, and Bradford Cox will put their touch on Cohen classics.
