Two members of the all-female Russian punk group Pussy Riot have managed to escape the Russian police, and according to their Twitter feed have also safely fled Russia.
Three other members of the group were arrested in February after their performance protesting the Orthodox Christian Church and its support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On August 17, three members of Pussy Riot were found guilty of hooliganism stemming from religious hatred. As a result, all three women were sentenced to two years in labor camps.
Other members of the group, who’s identities were hidden due to their trademark balaclavas were able to escape arrest.
