Top 10 Songs to Listen to Before You Give A Keynote AddressPosted by Nikki Benson
This list is dedicated to my friend who has to give talks in front of thousands and thousands of people around the world on a regular basis. He’s a music elitist of sorts, but there is no denying the power of a good pop song. This list is for all the folks who need to listen to a song that exudes “I’m the [expletive] mother-[expletive]“–songs that you would listen to right before you gave a keynote address.
We’ve had some good stuff on SSG Music recently, so I’m going to give you downloads for songs we have, and youtube links for songs that I think would be a good fit but we don’t have download authorization for.
Starting off with a bang, the new collaboration with P Smoov and Brent Amaker would make anyone feel like they are the [expletive]. Done!
Anything from Rusko will make you feel like you’re the biz. His track “Hold On,” featuring Amber Coffman, is ideal for this mix. Any listener could sing “I’m coming/ hold on” and it’s over. Done.
#6 Yelle – “Safari Disco Club”
#3 Next up, Mos Def! “Ghetto Rock.” Need I say more?
#2 (one of the songs on tipping point that made me decide that this mix had to be put together)
#1 What you have to realize before you go on stage is that everyone wants you to fail. Everyone is jealous, they wish they were on stage, they want you to choke. You just have to brush it off. Let ‘em hate! GONE HATE!
