Tonight, comedian Sandra Bernhard kicks off several performances premiering her latest show, “I love Being Me, Don’t You?” at the Triple Door. Since the 1970s, Sandra Bernhard has been active in the entertainment industry as an actress, author, and of course, comedian. After getting her start performing stand-up at the famed Hollywood club, the Comedy Store, Bernhard went on to contribute as a supporting player on the Richard Pryor show before being selected by Martin Scorsese to play the role of a kidnapper in his film the King of Comedy. In the 1990s, the actress played the role of Nancy Bartlett on the series Roseanne and later appeared in a 1998 episode of the tv series Will and Grace. More recently, Bernhard has released a number of comedy albums, been active on Broadway, and toured performing her stand-up routines.
In the past, Bernhard’s performances have featured live music, including the comedian’s take on tunes by Guns n’ Roses and White Snake. The shows this weekend will be no exception. During her performances at the Triple Door, Bernhard will be backed by a four-piece band. Don’t miss your chance to experience satirical, irreverent humor delivered by a veteran performer!
