Looking to get out and celebrate humpday? Wednesday is one of those rare moments when the 5 members of Narrows are on the same continent at the same time. All 5 members will converge on El Corazon’s stage for an evening of aural malice. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to witness the beguiling and dissonant rock that defines this hardcore band. The show will open with SoCal’s Retox slinging their punk-hardcore-metal. Great Falls and Brokaw round out the evening’s bill.

Deadstring Brother, James Apollo, Vinca Minor @ The Sunset Tavern | 5/23 | 9 pm | $7  | 21+

If hardcore punk isn’t up your alley, then celebrate the middle of the work week with some country rock — throw on your biggest belt buckle and swagger yourself down to the Sunset Tavern. Detroit’s Deadstring Brother will let loose with country ballads and unrestrained bluesy rock. Also on the schedule is Seattle’s own James Apollo, with bittersweet songs, lovely orchestration and the Commander on bass, Apollo always delivers a compelling performance, and if you need some inspiration to put yourself in the country music mood, check out SSG’s own Melissa Daniels’ new weekly column celebrating all things country.
