With only a handful of dates scheduled for the West Coast, Seattle is one lucky duck to be hosting The Hood Internet at Chop Suey tomorrow night. Hailing from Chicago, this dynamic duo specializes in hip hop meets indie rock mash-ups. Their live performances are marked by quirky shenanigans and tight arrangements. But their talents aren’t limited to just tunes — in addition to regularly releasing mixed tapes, this clever twosome maintains a blog where you can peruse their work.

Psalm One will be dropping the boom-shakalaka on the Chop Suey crowd. She has shared the stage with the likes of 50 Cent, De La Soul and Slick Rick —to name a few, and has made her mark on the music scene spitting rhymes and taking no prisoners. Psalm One falls into the self-described genre of “top tier hip hop esque sap stuff”. You will want to be a Chop Suey for the epic awesome she is about to unleash.

Simply stated, Tanya Morgan is a rap group. But Tanya Morgan’s music is anything but simple. Laden with personality and a loose flexible style, these three emcees produce enticing and authentic hip hop. They don’t take themselves too seriously and they deliver on making rap music that is true to the best parts of the genre. Be prepared to get sweaty — these tunes require booty shakin’.
