Tonight, The Paramount Theater will host Irish/Scottish pop rock band Snow Patrol. Fallen Empires is Snow Patrol’s sixth studio album which they have been touring for since January, after the album was released in November 2011 worldwide, and on January 10th 2012 in the U.S.A. Gary Lightbody, Snow Patrol’s lead vocalist and guitarist, remarked on the new album by telling NME that it was “the longest album we’ve ever made by far but also the best. We took our time and I also had some bouts of writer’s block. It’s the first time it’s happened for such a long time. I’ve had days when I haven’t been able to write. Since 2009 I’ve gone through three writer’s blocks but I’m glad because the results are great afterwards. They probably made me write better songs.” Check out their singles from Fallen Empires below:

Preview by Nikki Benson:

Houston bud-toting swag-rapper Devin the Dude will be hitting The Crocodile May 1, 2012. If you haven’t had a chance to listen to his tunes, he’s been making hip-hop music since the ’90s, and he’s retained the classic R&B singsong infusion signature to that era. Many people know Devin the Dude for his weed-centric lyrics, some find his music the perfect slow jams to…relax to. Either way, this show is going to be reefer-rific.
