Tonight, for a mere six dollars, you can check out a trio of interesting bands at The Sunset Tavern in Ballard. Known for their gothy and pummeling rock ‘n’ roll, Constant Lovers is sure to grab your attention. Seattle music writer Eric Grandy says “The five songs posted on the band’s website suggest that tonight’s show should get off to a solid start of slow-mo headbanging and intermittently frenzied flailing about.“ With them are both Mongrel Blood, a local blues band with members made up of Spencer Moody (Triumph of Lethargy, Murder City Devils), Cameron Elliott (Battle Hymns) and Eric Fisher (Constant Lovers). Early attendees will also hear the sounds from Koko and the Sweetmeats, which is the work of South African musician Garett van der Spek. He relocated to the Seattle area around 2007 and has been playing his own works under the Koko project. See you at The Sunset Tavern in Ballard tonight!
