Ah the ’80s, a spectacular time when bright Lycra and big hair ruled. Tonight at The Showbox at the Market, the ’80s are coming alive. Billy Idol Aid is a fun take on the 1980s Live Aid fundraiser. Billy Idol Aid gathers money and food for the American Red Cross and Northwest Harvest. Partying for a good cause? Sounds like the perfect excuse! ’80s new wave and Pop music will be blasting out the speakers thanks to Nite Wave and Rewind. In case when you arrive you don’t feel 80’s enough to get down to these beats from the past, there will even be an 80’s Makeover Station to get you in the appropriate for the decade.

This Seattle group is composed of two Emcee/Vocalists who drop rhymes on top of a five piece rhythm sections. After one of their first performances even at The Crocodile not too long ago, they have solidified themselves in Seattle’s music scene earning comparisons to bands such as The Roots. Come to The Triple Door tonight to see this up and coming band and to learn exactly what the fuss is all about and why live hip-hop is so great.
