Based in Brooklyn, NY, with roots in Canada,  Alexz Johnson  has been hard at work building a supportive fanbase with her progressive pop. Her latest release, Skipping Stone,  is a five song EP laced with emotional vocals and pop sensibilities. Johnson has been touring to promote Skipping Stone and will be taking the stage at the Vera Project tonight.

From the corn fields of Iowa, comes folk rock pop musician Dave Beck. He escaped the Midwest and has found his oasis in Brooklyn, NY. With a guitar and a quick wit, he is slingin’ songs  that are self described as “The Decemberists meets Death Cab for Cutie meets The Weakerthans.”

Seattle native, Sage Redman, will be opening  tonight’s show. At 19, Sage has already been playing piano for 14 years and has carve out a niche with her singer-songwriter style. Tonight’s show will be a rare opportunity to fill your ear holes with Sage’s tunes as she is currently posted in England studying music at Goldsmiths, University of London.
