Austra, Vice Device, Wishbeard @ Neumos | $14adv | 8pm | 21+
Austra makes music that you’re able to fully submerse yourself in, music that’s as haunting as it is enchanting. Let the classically trained operatic voice and theatrical stage presence behind Austra envelop you while you lose yourself in their hazy dance beats.

Hot Chip, Yacht @ The Paramount | $33 | 7pm | All Ages
Hot Chip, touring off their new album In Our Heads, are bringing their infectiously catchy brand of electro-pop to the Paramount tonight in Seattle with Yacht opening up. Our own Bebe Besch did a great write up about the show here.

Second Sight featuring: Veronica Vasicka @ Electric Tea Garden | $10 | 10pm | 21+
Veronica Vasicka, founder of Minimal Wave Records, is coming to town to headline Second Sight, Actual Pain’s monthly dark dance night. For fans of late 70’s and early 80’s avant-garde minimalist synth-pop this month’s night could be a dream come true and leave you dancing long after they kick you out at 4am.

Jenny Invert, The Tempers, href=https://www.facebook.com/Freighms>Freighms @ Rendezvous | $5 | 10pm | 21+
From the poppy piano balladry of Jenny Invert, the horror soaked synths of The Tempers to the straight forward, driving rock of Freighms; this show offers something for everyone and gives a great snapshot into Seattle’s music scene.

Mournful Congregation, Velnias, Anhedonist @ Highline | $10 | 9pm | 21+
If you need loud, head splintering music then let the doom metal dirge of Australia’s Mournful Congregation round out your Friday night. Their show from last year is still being hailed as one of the best at The Highline. I’d recommend not sitting around on this one since they’re in the states for such a short time.
