Benjamin Gibbard, Damien Jurado @ Showbox at the Market | SOLD OUT | 7pm | All Ages
We grew up hiding our bad habits underneath the patio, celebrating “The New Year” and deciphering Codes and Keys with Death Cab For Cutie so tonight it’s only natural for us to congregate in support of Former Lives, the new solo album from Death Cab front man Ben Gibbard.
There’s no telling what he’ll play from his extensive back catalogue but you can guarantee, that for one night, Seattle won’t be ‘too cool’ to sing-along and support one of our city’s most talented and prolific performers.

Hausu, Dreamsalon, La Luz, Witch Gardens, CMRTYZ, FF @ Cairo | $7 | 7pm | All Ages

It’s day two of Cairo’s annual Expo 90 Festival tonight in Seattle! Cairo has been a haven for bands to find themselves, develop their sound and go on to be the incumbent torch bearers of Seattle’s thriving music scene. The show tonight is a Petri dish full of buzz-acts from the PNW (Witch Gardens, Hausu) paired with newer up and comers (FF). It’ll be a night of great art and design and a close-up look into the ever changing and growing Seattle music scene.
