City Arts Festival @ Multiple Venues
City Arts Festival officially kicks off into high gear tonight in Seattle with a packed line-up. Today’s stand-outs include: David Byrne and Saint Vincent, Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band at Barboza, Johnathan Russell of The Head and the Heart at All Pilgrims, Brother Ali at Neumos and a special edition of JK Pop at Culture Club. I know, that’s a lot of options so I’d consider yourself lucky if you thought ahead and bought a pass because City Arts Festival is off to an amazing start!

Aaron Freeman @ The Triple Door | $25 | 7:30 | All Ages

Aaron Freeman of Ween is doing a special solo show at the Triple Door tonight to promote his latest album Marvelous Clouds. You can guarantee he’ll throw is some weird and loveable Ween favorites in the mix with his solo songs.

Nouvelle Vague @ Neptune Theatre | $24 | 8pm | All Ages

You’re a proclaimed Francophile? You love cover songs? You may even enjoy some bossa nova from time to time? Well you are in luck as French cover band Nouvelle Vauge storm the stage at the Neptune tonight to conjure up their reinterpreted vision of what new-wave sounds like.

Cheap Time, Unnatural Helpers @ The Comet | $10 | 9pm | 21+

It’s getting distorted and loud tonight as Tennessee garage rock heroes Cheap Time and Seattle’s own Unnatural Helpers take over the Comet.
