Hot! Tonight in Music: Laguna, Hugo, and more

Laguna, 80’s Invasion and DJ Diem at High Dive | 4/18 | $6 | 8pm | 21+

This Seattle band is a collaboration of multiple musical genres.  From electronic to reggae to jazz, if it is a style of music more likely than not Laguna has found some way to incorporate it into their music.  Their most recent CD, Volcano, was released last year with tracks meant for frivolous dancing!  Laguna will be playing at High Dive tonight with support from 80s Invasion and DJ Diem.

After growing up in Thailand and living for a while in London it is expected that Hugo has many stories to tell.  His many experiences of musical exploration make their way onto the different songs on his album Olde Tyme Religion which comes out May 10.

After his song “Disappear” was used on Beyoncé’s album I Am…Sasha Fierce, Hugo got a deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.  Influenced by his new hip-hop support, Hugo covers a Jay-Z classic “99 Problems” on Olde Tyme ReligionHugo is constantly looking for new experiences which you could contribute to by going to see Damato, People Eating People and Hugo at Neumos, tonight!
