Tonight in Music: Badly Drawn Boy, The Stickers, and more
Posted by Guy KeltnerBadly Drawn Boy, Justin Jones @ The Triple Door | 12/13 | 7:30pm | $25 | All Ages
Tonight, singer/songwriter Damon Gough will be showcasing his unique brand of alt-pop music. Dubbed one of the “50 Bands to See Before You Die” by Spin magazine. Supporting his newest effort, It’s What I’m Thinking Pt.1 – Photographing Snowflakes which was released this past October, Gough’s performance should be intimate both due to his personal songwriting and the fitting setting of The Triple Door.
The Stickers, Pony Time, The Redwood Plan @ Chop Suey | 12/13 | 8pm | $6 | 21+
In a truly interesting and varied bill, Pennsylvania alt-country band The Stickers will be sharing the night with the dance-inspiring Redwood Plan and the garage-tinged Pony Time. The show should be entertaining, to say the least, and there will undoubtedly be a mixed audience knocking back a friendly brew or two and making some new acquaintances. Pony Time should be a treat since they will most likely be the loudest and most brash act of the night, so get ready for a fuzzy and raw exercise in rocking out.
