Tom Waits Will Be On “The Simpsons”

Tom Waits will be guesting as himself on an episode of “The Simpsons” this winter.
Satirizing the Doomsday survivalist movement that is sweeping the country, Waits will play himself and will be the character to introduce Homer to a group of “preppers”. These “preppers”, which National Geographic also featured on a video series, are a group of people, who go to extreme preparations for potential global catastrophes.
Although Waits will not be singing in the episode, we are sure to recognize his distinctively smokey growl. The episode will air in December and will be a part of the show’s 24th season.
