It has been a big few weeks for comedian Tig Notaro. Two weeks ago, it was the announcement and release of the first episode of her new podcast, Professor Blastoff. Notaro appeared on the 2nd anniversary celebration episode of Comedy Death Ray-Radio (also announced on that episode was the change of the show’s name to Comedy Bang Bang). Professor Blastoff then debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy podcast chart. Professor Blastoff, a weekly podcast, is a forum for Tig and her fellow comedians/comedy writers (the second episode featured an appearance from Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman!) to “focus on a central theme they find interesting. The topics range from scientific to philosophical and metaphysical.”

After that, Secretly Canadian (Jens Lekman, Damien Jurado, Yeasayer) officially announced the August 2nd release date of the recent Laff Hole headliner’s debut album, Good One.

Beyond all that, Notaro (AKA Officer Tig on the Sarah Silverman Program) will be at this year’s Sasquatch! festival along with comedians Paul F Tompkins, Matt McCarthy, Scott Aukerman, and Reggie Watts.
