The Rolling Stones have, after considerable speculation, officially booked four shows in two cities to celebrate 50 years as a band.
A half-century lifespan is a near-impossible achievement for most bands, but The Rolling Stones appear to be renewed once more. They will first perform at London’s O2 Arena on Nov. 25 and 29, then they will visit Newark’s Prudential Center for a pair of shows on Dec. 13 and 15.
The world famous rock ‘n roll/blues/country band have not played live together since 2007. The present year makes sense for a return to performances, considering their monumental anniversary has also been commemorated by a compilation featuring two brand new cuts and a forthcoming HBO documentary.
Ticket prices are said to run anywhere from $95 to $750. Stream one of the Stones’ new tune “Doom And Gloom” below.
