The Dandy Warhols, 1776, Sleepy Sun @ The Showbox at the Market | 6/17 | $20 Adv (Get tickets) | 7:30 PM | All-Ages, Bar w/I.D.

Portland rockers The Dandy Warhols will be bringing their bold tunes to The Showbox at the Market this Sunday evening. They’ve been pounding away enjoyable songs for nearly two decades, all the while staying true to their eccentric style. Their sound has been known to mix many genres including power pop, shoegaze, and garage rock. The Dandy Warhols have no obvious plans to slow down anytime soon – the band released a brand new album, This Machine, this April, in which the quartet features a sound that is a bit stripped down from their previous attempts. Seattle marks their last U.S. tour date along this tour promoting This Machine, so get to The Showbox this weekend to show your support for the Pacific Northwest natives! Openers 1776, who hails from Longview, Wash., and psychedelic California band Sleepy Sun will be sure to impress as well, so make sure you arrive to the show early.
