The always creative and dramatic Khaela Maricich has taken The Blow from dynamic duo to a new type of visual pop machine.  The Blow are set to debut a new album, the first since 2007’s re-release of Poor Aim: Love Songs. This time around Maricich is bringing along visual artist Melissa Dyne to add a performance art vibe to The Blow’s live show.  A preview of this can be seen below.

The video for the song, “Ask Me (demo version),”  is promised to be the first in a series of videos for and inspired by The Blow’s upcoming album.  Details are scarce but if what can be seen by “Ask Me (demo version),” is any indicator you can expect the same catchy minimal pop with a somewhat bizarre visual twist. Maricich may be ambitious, but she is definitely on her own artistic path. The new live show is said to include, light and acoustic manipulation, along with some elements of narrative performance.  Check out the new song and video below along with tour dates.
