When the Asteroid Galaxy Tour‘s front woman Mette Lindberg’s takes the stage, it’s like a lightening bolt strikes the building and every surface she touches begins to dazzle with sequins and disco light. Yeah, she’s that good. The Asteroids Galaxy Tour has been — surprise surprise — touring the globe for well over a year now, dominating Europe with their disco-pop melodies and after 8 months away, Lindberg and her 7 piece band will be back on the Neumos stage.
Back in February when ATG played an almost sold out show on a Friday night, the crowd ate up their set from start to finish – dancing harder than I’ve seen a crowd dance at Neumos to songs like ‘Heart Attack’ and ‘One Giant Freak For Mankind.’ Lindberg and her big-band troop rally a party from any audience with a contagious energy that maybe only a band from Denmark can inspire.
After the 2012 release Out of Frequency and song placements in ads from Heineken and Apple, ATG has been on a perpetual climb to the outer reaches of the solar system – gaining more and more acclaim from every city they take over. To make things easier on you- if you’re on the fence about whether or not you’ll enjoy this group, just go see them live. Trust me, I basically guarantee you’ll fall in love with Lindberg’s glittering vocals and electric performance.
