Sweet Mother Logic @ La Sala Rossa | Nov. 3 | 8:30pm | $12

One of the bright lights of Montreal’s music scene, Sweet Mother Logic are poised to release their sophomore LP Natural History  on November 3. To celebrate they will be bringing their powerful live show to La Sala Rossa that same night. Unlike their previous EP and LP, Natural History was recorded in a live-format, with sparse overdubs by guest musicians, in order to capture the energy and rapport that defines the ensemble’s live performance. The resulting 9 tracks showcase their genre-bending virtuosity, with fast moving, dynamic songs that retain catchy pop melodies fused with the compositional complexity of classical music.

I predicated that their string/synth/guitar menagerie was destined for wider recognition, and Natural History delivers the goods.  So, come witness them for yourself at Sala.  Armen at the Bazaar will be opening, showcasing his unique looping abilities with a solo set.

Below, listen to “Lord Tennyson” and stream other songs off the new album at the band’s bandcamp page.

Doors open at 8:30 PM, and the music begins at 9:30 PM.
Sweet Mother Logic will perform at approximately 11 PM.

Entry is $10 in advance; $12 at the door. Tickets may be obtained at the following locations:
