Summer Meltdown is the festival it is thanks to the band True Spokes, a band previously known as Flowmotion. While their name may have changed, their multiple performances during Meltdown demonstrate that this band is more than a name. They’re a jam band in every sense of the word, and when they take the stage they’re sort of like one of those wind up toys. If you’ve heard or seen them before, you may think you’ll know what they’ll do next but then they take over the stage with a high school marching band, and all bets are off. The energizing music of True Spokes play fits perfectly in the shadow of Whitehorse Mountain, where Meltdown takes place. The mountain and the band are epicly connected, and will surely meltdown together many more times to come.
