As I get these thoughts out, I’m in the midst of rushing to work, but this seems more important. Crossing paths with “Water” was one of the best things that could have happened to me late last year. Described as the lovechild of “Leonard Cohen and Rodriguez”, it’s a carousel of earnest and tingly sounds. This is perfectly crafted for a Wes Anderson film, picnic, curious stroll or friendly mix CD. Close your eyes and underneath your lids, you’re able to find a vibrant world. Wauters’ vocals, although slightly jarring at times, are comforting.

The lyrics are thought-provoking. Repeating this over and over again, especially in the morning, sets me up for the most curious day. Set yourself up as well.
