Kyte, an electro-dream-pop band from Leicestershire, England, traveled to Seattle, Washington to spend the month of April recording their fourth studio album with producer John Goodmanson (Death Cab for Cutie, Nada Surf, Blonde Readhead) at Robert Lang Studios.

Some people might not recognize the band name Kyte, but many people would recognize their first breakout single “Boundaries”, featured in a 2007 trailer of The Sopranos. That trailer doesn’t speak to all of the untold successes of the band–they’ve been the soundtrack for many an emotional memory for the past five years.

Kyte’s forthcoming album is entitled Love to be Lost, and it is set to be released worldwide between August and September of 2012. In addition to revealing these tidbit with us, the members of the band gave us a first listen to a b-side (yet-to-be titled) off the upcoming record. But that’s not all! Kyte was kind enough to give us an interview, telling us all the sordid details of what goes into their songwriting process, as well as what’s next for the band. Please see both video clips below as well as a photo set of the experience with Kyte at Robert Lang Studios.
