SSG Music is proud to present the premiere of “The Rats Through Our Veins,” from Portland’s own Bastard Feast. In a town known for its doom and drone pedigree, Bastard Feast represents part of the seething and vast underground of death, sludge, and noise that can be overlooked by music fans both inside the city and outside of it. Take a listen to this absolute ripper.

The album, Osculum Infame, is out on legendary label Season of Mist on July 22nd (July 18th worldwide) and fans can order here. It was recorded at Interlace Audio by Stephen Hawkes, who has worked with another Portland band you may have heard of, Red Fang. For anyone that is still on the fence, consider this your chance to take in once more the insanely skilled drumming of Nickolis Parks, who also plies his trade with fast rising Portland band Gaytheist. Anyone who has seen a Gaytheist and thought “Why isn’t that dude in death metal band?” will be glad to sit and dine at the table with Bastard Feast. The band is hitting the road for a small west coast jaunt in July, catching them on the road is highly recommended.
