Flordia post-punkers Merchadise make music in the same vein as The Stone Roses and Dinosaur Jr. But the quality of their melodies brush off any dated rust those connotations may cause. Their latest album, Children of Desire, finds the band moving even farther away from their acerbic punk roots, dabbling in tone and texture without displacing any of the energy that made them so notable. “Time” is the first single off the album.
