Slack Fest 2012 Announced; Seeking Artists

While Seattle might be known for skinny lattes and pretentious martinis to most, residents, of arguably the greatest city in the world, know better. Case and point? Slack Fest.

Leave your over-priced caffeinated beverages in your Jetta cup-holders. Replace that shaken, dirty martini with a twist of lemon, with a few-too-many Rainers. Slack Fest is a full fledged, rock fest spectacular. A break from Microsoft money and intellectual conversations dripping with philosophical debates. With a dirt track for a venue, a flat bed truck for a stage, and an always blazing bonfire; Slack Fest is an open invitation to all who bask in the Emerald City’s glow, to get down and dirty.

While Seattlelites were left without the gift of rock and ruckus for three years, the summer’s hottest festival finally returned last summer; making up for lost time with talents such as The Moondoggies, My Goodness, American Girls, The Maldives, Whalebones, The Golden Blondes, and Jack Wilson. When the dust settled, the last beer was consumed, and the last guitar was unplugged; all was forgiven, as the “Return of Slack” was arguably the best show of the 2011 summer.

Slack Fest 2012 will be no different. Especially if you are an artist or band oozing rock n’ roll goodness, and looking for a dangerously dirty venue in which to showcase your talent. Any artist or band interested in performing has only to send an email to slackest@artisthomebooking.com, by May 15th. Just make sure the email of interest includes a link to a website that best represents the artist and/or band. The only thing capable of one-upping attendance to Slack Fest is playing Slack Fest.

Mark your calendars, rock n’ rollers. July 14th at Slime Dog Race Track will embody all that the Rock n’ Roll Gods intended: drinks, dirt, dancing, and debauchery.
