Sera Cahoone has released a stream of her new song, “Naked”.

The singer/song-writer from Seatlle, Washington has worked and collaborated with many artists such as Band Of Horses, Son Volt, and Patrick Park. In 2006 Cahoone branched out as a solo artist and released her self-titled debut album.  Cahooone musical style mixes genres such as country, lo-fi, and indie rock.

In 2007 she signed with Sub Pop records, and is now putting the finishing touches on her new record entitled Only As The Day Is Long.  The album was recorded in February at Bear Creek Studios in Woodinville, Washington over a two week period by Los Angeles producer Thom Monohan.  Cahoone had this to say about her writing experience for this particular album, stating: “I took a very long break to write this record,” she says of her latest work. “I didn’t care how long it took. Once these songs started coming together, I knew I wanted to take my time with this one. I wanted to get it right, focus more on production, and make sure all the sounds and vocals were pushed even higher.”

The first single from the new album, “Naked”, demonstrates Sera’s ability to integrate pop and country, but still manifest emotions of vulnerability and yearning.
