Scott Kelly, one of the founding members of the experimental metal band Neurosis, will be playing at The Tractor Tavern on November 29th. As a side project, he has released two albums of dark acoustic music drawing on both the spirit of Johnny Cash and the doom country sound of bands like The Sons of Perdition and Lonesome Wyatt.

Also on the bill, Munly (AKA Jay Munly/Munly Munly) is the skeletal co-frontman of Denver’s great gothic Americana band, Slim Cessna’s Auto Club, who recently played a fantastic show at the Tractor with Bob Log III opening. In between playing and recording with SCAC, he has released several albums on Alternative Tentacles and toured under his own name and also as Munly and the Lee Lewis Harlots.

Providing a bit of a contast against the dark material of the other artists on this bill is Bob Wayne, who splits what little time is left over from his incessant touring regimen between Seattle and Nashville. His band, Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies, play a raucous mix of honky-tonk and outlaw country, influenced by Cash, Waylon, and all 3 generations of Hank Williams. His first major release, 2011′s Outlaw Carnie, received many accolades. Bob always puts on a good show for his many fans, so you definitely want to be on time for this show.
