Last time The Soft Pack were in town, they were opening for the masses with the now mega French group Phoenix. Now they are about to invade Seattle in a much smaller setting and give you a bit more of a personal performance.
This foursome from San Diego embarked on a tour of their own and have played venues from coast to coast in support of their 2010 self-titled album The Soft Pack; the tour wraps up at the famed Coachella Music Festival. But before that happens, make sure you make your way to Chop Suey and find out what all the hype is about. This band is hot and is one of the bands to see in 2010.
Under the old moniker The Muslims, the band garnered more back-lash and racist outbursts concerning their name than any kind of good publicity. Booking became a problem, so they decided to rename the band The Soft Pack. Sharing a bill with the likes of Phoenix has officially solidified the band name, and put them on the fast track to stardom. After Coachella, they are booked on to play Lollapalooza, and lord only knows what comes after that, so tell all your friends and lets have a party at The Chop and show the fellas what we really think about them–it’s going to be mad, baby.
