Jason Lytle is headlining Tuesday night at Barboza which also happens to be the night of the release of his third solo album Dept of Disappearance. Lytle began his long career in electronic pop with his band, Grandaddy. As the bustling lifestyle of a poor traveling musician lost it’s luster, Lytle needed to get back to basics. Continuing with his love for writing music, he has branched out to a less hectic solo career writing, recording and playing all of the instruments. Despite shying away from Grandaddy fame, Lytle still adheres the same spacey electronic pop plan.

Opening for Lytle is Sacramento based Sea of Bees. Julie Baenziger is a multi-instrumentalist and song bird teetering on folk and acoustic. Sea of Bees inspiration appears to come from heartbreak and sad experiences with an optimistic outlook.

SSG Music is giving away a pair of tickets to this performance. Find out how to win them here!
