Let’s Get Lost, Ravenna Woods @ The Crocodile | 03/24 | $8 | 8pm

You might have seen the “Mark Your Calendar” feature for Ravenna Woods the other day including their March 24th show at The Crocodile, but did you remember that Let’s Get Lost is on the same bill?  In fact, the March 24th show is the album release party for Let’s Get Lost’s Rotten Apples, and they are making it quite the masquerade. Yes indeed readers, Let’s Get Lost will be accompanied with viola, cello, saxophone, and trumpets; they will be dressed to the nines, and they are inviting their audience to do the same. Specifically, Let’s Get Lost is invites you put on your ballroom best, pick up a sexy Venetian mask, and strut your pretty little hind-parts over to The Crocodile. Do your shopping this weekend, and prepare to be looking hot on the 24th!

Here are a few things we’ve said about Let’s Get Lost in the past.

With something of a smorgasbord of sounds, Let’s Get Lost fills the room with jolly goodness. Nick Shadel and Peter Kowalczyk only credit themselves with playing guitar, piano, and singing, but with an added orchestra in their new album Rotten Apples, they have a gaggle of instruments including keys, strings, guitar, bass, drums, horns, and vocals pulling it all together. This is no small feat. With all of those instruments flying through the listeners ears, it would be easy to sound discombobulated at best; thankfully, everything is in it’s right place, and the vocals are strong and fluid. Let’s Get Lost is very easy to listen to. – Nikki Benson, SSG Music

These two gentlemen are representing the Top Hat neighborhood of South Seattle, and  are creating a sound that’s all their own. They carry into their music influences that range from literature and philosophy, to good conversation and friendship.  Mostly they just write about life,  but their perspective is a little deeper than your average indie band. Their song writing and musical arrangements  are nothing short of fantastic; they’ll have the listener singing along for sure.- Billy McManus, SSG Music

Here are a couple vids from the SSG private session with Let’s Get Lost. Enjoy, and I’ll see you at the show!
