Pantha Du Prince Announces New Album

Pantha Du Prince is embarking on a joint effort with The Bell Labratory to produce an album called Elements of Light.
The running motif for the LP is, well, elements of light – each of the five songs are named after a particular element. Their musical vocabulary on the record is wide-ranging and eclectic, fusing the sounds of chimes, marimbas, tubular bells and likely much, much more. No doubt Pantha Du Prince’s (aka Hendrick Weber) electronic inclinations will play a pivotal role as well.
The featured artist list is extensive, with names like Martin Horntveth (from Jaga Jazzist), Erland Dahlen, Håkon Stene, and Heming Valebjørg on board. Elements of Light is due out Jan. 15 via Rough Trade.
