Indie folk artist Paleo (David Strackany), famous for his “song diary” in which he wrote a song a day in 2006-2007, is set to release a new album this coming June. After years of making music on the road alone Strackany pairs up with Daytrotter’s Patrick Stolley to produce Fruit of the Spirit set to release June 21, 2011.
There is definitely strength in the collaboration of this dynamic duo, combining the independence and haunting creativity of Strackany with the talent and goldmine of instruments Stolley has to offer, this year’s album is believed to be a must have for any Indie folk enthusiast. According to Flavorpill NYC “[Paleo recalls] both the magical weirdness of Neutral Milk Hotel and the disturbed genius of Elliott Smith.” A combination of musical geniuses that we find impossible to resist.
