Short-shorts, surf pop with a post-punk attitude, two handsome gentlemen and an adorable lady – what’s not to love about Seattle’s Orca Team? Relentlessly the charming trio has been touring in pursuit of living the dream, and folks are catching on. Their uplifting yet eerie pop will complement this August summer night as they work through songs off of their recently released album Restraint. We premiered Orca Team’s video for “Ocean Ghost” not long ago, in which SSG Music’s Andrew Ryan Cassin touched on Orca Team’s poppy edge – there is a haunting quality underlying all of their beach pop that makes their sound something unique, especially amongst other local genres.
