New Order Announce US Dates
Posted by Adam BarnettHighly influential UK post-punks New Order have announced their first North America tour in over seven years.
The announcement follows their 2011 reunion after the band’s second break-up in 2007.
“We’ve been having such a great time together this year, playing shows all over Europe, and we’re all really excited to be playing America again,” vocalist Bernard Sumner told Rolling Stone, “We have so many friends and fans there we can’t wait to get back!”
Originally composed of the remaining members of Joy Division post suicide of Ian Curtis, bassist Peter Hook did not reunite with the rest of the band. He was replaced by Tom Chapman for the reunion. This will be the band’s first North American tour sans Hook.
