Jeff Mangum in New York City, 05/06/2010
Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel played a show last Friday in NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge. The show was a benefit for old-school punk pioneer Chris Knox. This is his first public show in many years, and it comes out of many swirling unconfirmed rumors concerning Mangum’s mental health. This performance seems to confirm that Jeff is still healthy and interested in playing music., It even lends the slightest hope to vague and unlikely dreams of die-hard Neutral Milk Hotel fans who want a reunion.
Mangum played five Neutral Milk Hotel songs, the setlist was as follows: “Oh Comely”, “A Baby for Pree”/”Where You’ll Find Me Now”, “Two Headed Boy Pt. 2″, “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea”, and “Engine”.
Below are two videos from the performance for your viewing pleasure.
