The lack of proper folk and classical documentation within the current music machine is shameful. If for no other reason than tracking musical progress, the promotion of creations long buried underneath the trashed hotel rooms of rock and the melted bubblegum of pop is worth your time and money.

Aaron Roche
Which is why attention is turned to the brainchild of Aaron Roche and Tim Hinck. Their latest project, Plainspeak, aims to preserve new folk and classically-influenced creations by the pair. The proposed album features the help of the Chattanooga Symphony and Nashville session musicians from such bands as Lambchop, The Silver Jews, and The Cherry Blossoms.
The album is set for release in October via Sounds Are Active but Roche and Hinck need help in offsetting the vinyl printing costs of the album. That’s where you come in, helping to participate in lifting up older, neglected sounds for your and future generations. Visit Plainspeak’s Kickstarter page to pledge your hard-earned money aimed at putting the album in your hands (as well as everyone else’s).
