The Comet Tavern’s website might be looking mysteriously sparse lately in terms of show dates – though they continue to consistently put on performances – however, The Comet’s Myspace page fully lists their calendar for anyone interested.

If you’ll notice, on August 27 of The Comet’s calendar there is a “Secret Show” scheduled for $10 at 9p.m. This information is incredibly useful as Minus the Bear just announced that they will be performing this set at The Comet’s intimate space with Helms Alee! The show will be in celebration of their new album, Infinity Overhead, and ticket sales will benefit marriage equality in Washington via Washington United for Marriage. Infinity Overhead appears in stores on August 28, and will be the fifth full-length album from the beloved Seattle band. Come support Minus the Bear before they kick off their fall tour for the new album and put your money towards a great cause at The Comet Tavern tomorrow in Capitol Hill!
