Major Lazer has confirmed the release date for the follow-up album to 2009′s Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do. The record is called Free the Universe and it comes out Nov. 6 via Mad Decent/Downtown.
Although the project was initially started by DJs/Producers Diplo and Switch, the former has recently claimed sole creative control over the group. By combining infectious dancehall, hip hop, house music, and more, Major Lazer has gained incredible legions of fans over the last three years.
Collaborations on the upcoming LP include Diplo working with Flux Pavilion, Wyclef and Bruno Mars. For now, keep your eyes and ears open – Major Lazer plans to tour both Europe and the States later this summer and fall.
